School Visits
IMPORTANT NOTE:
School visits are paused and will resume in fall of 2024. Thank you for your understanding.
One of the perks of being a kid lit author is getting to be in community with young people. School visits are a vital part of building that community and are a wonderful opportunity for students to learn a little more about the writing/publishing process, storytelling as a way of building community, and can help foster a love of reading and writing. If your'e interested in having me visit your school please read through the information listed here and fill out a Visit Request. I hope to see you soon!
Visit Formats
Large Group Visit
Large Group Visits are usually held in your auditorium or assembly space. These visits consist of a presentation lasting about 45 minutes and include a Q &A session. I leave room at the end of each visit to sign books and chat with students.
Virtual Class Visit
Virtual Class Visits are held via your preferred virtual platform (Zoom, GoogleMeet, Etc.) and consist of a virtual presentation and time for a Q&A session.
Please note that due to serious safety concerns and in light of recently passed legislation, Kalynn cannot attend in-person school visits in Florida at this time.
